With this show marking 40 years in the business, he obviously knows what he’s doing. Roberto Cavalli’s interesting ways of fashion never fail to captivate the eyes of a non-believer (in fashion). With Cavalli being known for showing too much but not enough skin, it is no surprise when rips and cuts in clothing along the legs of pants or holes in shirts are shown on the runway. But, it’s a surprise when not much skin is shown! This runway show was a step up from anything he’s ever done- a more detailed whip-stitching, lacing, and patch-working was used on each piece of clothing. This show was really based on the construction of clothing. Not to mention, ditching the recognizable cat print, he was in favor of snake skin layered with beads and sequins. His showing of skin gets us everytime, it never gets old- but now we can’t get enough of the more reserved side of Roberto cavalli, and can’t wait to see what he does next!
